MINOT AIR FORCE BASE — E-3 Sentries from Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma relocated to Minot Air Force Base on Wednesday due to severe weather in the area of central Oklahoma, according to Minot AFB Public Affairs.
The four aircraft and air crews moved to Minot AFB as part of normal weather relocation plans to mitigate the possibility of damage during a tornado watch at their home station.
An E-3 Sentry is also known as an airborne warning and control (AWACS) aircraft.
